AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Only those candidates who have Indian Nationality can apply for this recruitment process.

Educational Qualifications

• The candidate must have completed MBBS degree from a recognized university.
• PG degree in relevant medical specialties is also accepted and preferred.

Explained Selection Process

Stage-1: Interview

All eligible candidates will be called for an interview at Delhi, tentatively in November 2025. The interview panel will assess the candidate’s medical knowledge, communication skills, confidence, and suitability for a career in the Armed Forces.

Stage – 2: Medical Examination

Candidates who clear the interview will undergo a comprehensive medical examination to check their physical and mental health. Only those declared medically fit will be considered for final selection.  

Stage – 3: Merit List

The final selection will be based on the performance in interview and medical examination. A merit list will be prepared, and candidates will be offered appointment letters accordingly.
