For the 2026-27 academic session, Assam Women’s University offers one diploma, one undergraduate, 15 Integrated PG, and 16 postgraduate programmes. The intake generally includes 47 regular seats and six Endowment (High-Fee) seats, along with prescribed supernumerary seats.

AWUET 2027 or CUET PG

There are certain programmes for which admission will be offered on the basis of CUET PG or AWUET 2027. We have given the list of courses through which admission will be provided to the candidates.

AWU Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria

  • Only female candidates are eligible for admission.
  • Candidates applying for undergraduate or Integrated PG programmes must be at least 17 years old as of August 1, 2026, meaning they must have been born before August 1, 2009.
  • Admission to Integrated PG programmes will be based on merit using the best-of-five marks obtained in the Class 12 (10+2) examination, following the Government of Assam’s reservation rules.
  • Candidates seeking admission to Integrated PG and Bachelor’s programmes must apply through the Assam Higher Education Admission Portal.
  • Admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) will be based on CEE scores, as per Assam State Allied Health Council guidelines.
  • Admission to PG programmes will be based on AWUET 2026 or CUET-PG scores.
  • Detailed examination and admission information will be notified on the Assam Women’s University website.
  • Admission to the Diploma programme will be based strictly on merit, following the reservation policy of the Government of Assam.

Candidates applying for BPT, PG and Diploma programmes can submit their applications online through the Assam Women’s University admission portal. The application/entrance fee is ₹600 plus applicable service charges. The fee is non-refundable.

Procedure for Conducting AWU Entrance Test 2026

The Assam Women’s University Entrance Test (AWUET-2026) will be conducted at the Kaliapani, Teok campus of Assam Women’s University.

For the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) programme, the entrance test will consist of questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, based on the Class 12/10+2 level syllabus. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the entrance test to qualify for admission to the Department of Physiotherapy.

For postgraduate (PG) programmes, admission will be based on the Assam Women’s University Entrance Test (AWUET). The detailed entrance test schedule and other information will be notified by the university separately. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official university website for the latest updates.

The final merit list will be prepared by considering the candidate’s academic performance along with the marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the respective department.

Selection and Admission Procedure

Candidates shortlisted for admission will be required to appear personally before the Selection Committee, subject to any changes made by the university. Candidates must attend the selection/admission process on the scheduled date and will have to bear their own travel and other expenses.

AWU Admission 2026-27: Reservation of Seats

w will provide reservation of seats in accordance with the Government of Assam’s reservation norms. Candidates belonging to eligible reserved categories will be considered for reservation as per the applicable government rules.
