Exam Pattern (Expected to remain similar)

• Duration: 3 hours
• Part A (Computer-based, ~1 hour): Objective questions — NAT, MSQ, MCQ (tests visualization, logical reasoning, design awareness, etc.)
• Part B (Offline, ~2 hours): Subjective — drawing, design aptitude, creativity, and writing skills

Shortlisting for admission rounds is primarily based on Part A qualifying cut-off. Final selection considers performance in both parts + institute-specific tests/interviews/portfolio.

Eligibility Criteria CEED 2027

• Candidates must have completed a graduate degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of a minimum of THREE years (after 10+2 level) or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2027
• Or
• You must have passed the GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level) by July 2027
•  Note that the eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes may differ from those for appearing for CEED. Before applying for CEED, candidates must check whether they meet the required eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes. There is no age limit to appear for CEED. Also, a candidate can appear for CEED any number of timeGD Arts diploma (10+5 level) qualifiers are also eligible.
• No age limit.
• Unlimited attempts allowed.
• Institute-specific eligibility rules may apply for actual M.Des admission (e.g., some programs require a 4-year bachelor’s degree or specific background).

Foreign nationals follow similar qualification norms.

CEED 2027 Application Fee

Registration fee: ₹ 2,000/- for all women candidates

₹ 2,000/- for (SC/ST/PwD) candidates

₹ 4,000/- for all other candidates

Extra Fees for CEED 2027

The normal registration fee shown above is applicable till the regular closing date of registration, i.e., last date of registration 2026. A late fee of ₹500 /- applies to registrations of all the candidates submitted after the regular closing date.
