Paper I Syllabus
Paper I will be based on the Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus prescribed by recognised Boards/Councils in India. The subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic English and Health Aptitude.
Paper II Syllabus
Paper II is conducted only for the BHA course.
- Physical Science and Mathematics: Based on the Class 10 syllabus of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and other equivalent recognised Boards/Councils.

The questions in JENPAS UG 2027 are divided into two categories.

JENPAS UG 2027 OMR Sheet and Answering Method
JENPAS UG will be conducted using an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheet. The responses will be evaluated using the Optical Mark Recognition method. Candidates must completely darken the appropriate circle/bubble using a blue or black ink ballpoint pen.
Candidates should avoid using pencils, tick marks, cross marks, incomplete markings, overwriting, scratching, erasing or making marks outside the designated bubble. Such markings may result in incorrect or ambiguous reading of the response.
Once an answer has been marked on the OMR sheet, it cannot be edited, erased or modified.
JENPAS UG 2027 Ranking Methodology
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will prepare merit ranks based on candidates’ scores in the Common Entrance Test. Candidates will be able to download their Rank Card, which will contain their score and rank.
WBJEEB does not publish a general rank or score list publicly in order to maintain the confidentiality of individual candidates.
Two separate merit ranks will be prepared.
General Merit Rank (GMR)
The GMR will be prepared based only on the marks obtained in Paper I.
- Candidates will be ranked in descending order of marks.
- Tie-breaking rules will be applied in case two or more candidates obtain the same score.
- Separate category ranks may also be indicated for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS and PwD candidates, as applicable.
- Admission to all courses except BHA will be based on GMR.
- The sequence for counselling, seat allotment and admission will be based only on GMR.
- Category ranks are provided for information purposes only.
BHA Merit Rank (BMR)
The BMR will be prepared based only on the marks obtained in Paper II.
- Candidates will be ranked in descending order of marks.
- Tie-breaking rules will apply in case of equal scores.
- Separate category ranks may be provided for eligible reserved categories.
- Admission to the BHA course will be based on BMR.
- The sequence for seat allotment will be based only on BMR.
- Category ranks are provided only for the information of candidates belonging to the respective categories.
Important Information About Category Ranks
Category ranks are generated based on the category information provided by candidates during the online application process. However, the relevant certificates and documents will be verified during counselling/admission.
If a candidate’s category claim is found to be invalid during document verification, their category rank will be cancelled and the candidate will be considered under the General Category. The category ranks of other candidates will not be revised in such cases.
