
KCET 2027 Syllabus: The KCET question papers are based on the First and Second PUC syllabi prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka. For KCET 2026, subject experts from the Department of School Education (Pre-University) reviewed the PCMB syllabus prescribed for 1st and 2nd PUC classes in Karnataka. The syllabus adopted for the Common Entrance Test was published on the KEA website for students’ reference.

KCET Exam Duration and Question Paper
The Common Entrance Test is conducted over two days in four different sessions, covering four subjects.

Each subject paper carries 60 marks and is conducted for 80 minutes.
KCET 2027 Syllabus: Question Paper Pattern
The question paper for each subject consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Each question has four answer options, and each question carries one mark.
Candidates are expected to attempt all questions to maximise their score. There is no choice among questions.
KCET Marking Scheme
- Correct answer: 1 mark
- Incorrect answer: No negative marking
- Multiple answers marked for one question: No marks awarded
- Candidates should attempt all questions because there is no penalty for an incorrect answer.
The KCET question papers are available in different versions, with the version code printed prominently on the front sheet. The question-paper version given to a candidate may be different from or the same as that given to other candidates in different sessions.
