The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Bhopal invites applications for SPA Bhopal PG Admission 2026 to vacant seats in its Postgraduate (PG) programmes for the Academic Session 2026–27 under the Institute-Level Special Drive, as per the Joint Admission for Architecture and Planning JAAP (PG)–2026.
SPA Bhopal PG Admission 2026 Programmes Offered
Applications are invited for SPA Bhopal PG Admission 2026 to the following postgraduate programmes:
- Master of Planning (Urban and Regional Planning)
- Master of Planning (Environmental Planning)
- Master of Planning (Transport Planning and Logistics Management)

SPA Bhopal PG Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have secured:
- General/OBC (NCL)/EWS: Minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA in the qualifying examination.
- SC/ST/PwD: Minimum 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA in the qualifying examination.

SPA Bhopal PG Admission 2026 Selection Process
Selection will be based on the following components:
- Performance in the qualifying examination
- Valid GATE/CEED/UGC-NET score (where applicable)
- Physical interaction
- Relevant work experience
The physical interaction may include an interview, portfolio assessment, group discussion, essay writing, Statement of Purpose (SoP), written examination, or any other assessment conducted by SPA Bhopal.

Candidates who have participated in JAAP (PG) 2026 are exempted from paying the application fee. However, they must upload valid proof of their participation while submitting the online application.

General Instructions
- If no seat is available in the applied programme/category, the application fee will be refunded in full.
- Candidates may apply for any number of eligible programmes based on their qualifications.
- Admissions against Kashmiri Migrant Reserved Seats will be made as per Government of India norms and will be over and above the sanctioned intake.
- 5% horizontal reservation is available for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD), in accordance with Government of India regulations.
- Candidates possessing a valid GATE, CEED, or UGC-NET score may be eligible for scholarship benefits as per applicable rules.
- Final-year students may apply by submitting marksheets/transcripts up to the pre-final year. Such admissions will remain provisional until the candidate fulfills all eligibility requirements after declaration of the final qualifying examination results.

FAQs
1. Who is eligible to apply for the Special Drive admission?
Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for the respective postgraduate programme may apply. Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks (6.0 CGPA) for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS categories or 50% marks (5.5 CGPA) for SC/ST/PwD categories in the qualifying examination. Final-year students may also apply, subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria before admission.
2. Is a GATE, CEED, or UGC-NET score mandatory for admission?
No. A valid GATE, CEED, or UGC-NET score is not mandatory for applying. However, such scores will be considered during the selection process where applicable, and eligible candidates may also be considered for scholarships.
3. Can I apply for more than one postgraduate programme?
Yes. Candidates may apply for any number of programmes for which they satisfy the eligibility criteria.
4. What is the selection process?
Selection is based on multiple components, including the candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination, valid GATE/CEED/UGC-NET score (where applicable), physical interaction (such as an interview, portfolio assessment, group discussion, essay writing, SoP, or written test), and relevant work experience.
5. Is the application fee refundable?
The application fee is generally non-refundable. However, if no seat can be offered in the applied programme and category due to the non-availability of seats, the application fee will be refunded in full. Candidates who participated in JAAP (PG) 2026 are exempt from paying the application fee.
