METHODOLOGY FOR RANKING OF TOP 50 EMERGING COLLEGES
- Best online Colleges – Myeducationwire has partnered with market research company, NextWave Research to develop the ranking of the top 50 emerging colleges in the field of engineering, MBA, and pharma
- The ranking of the emerging colleges was done based on a consolidated score focused on the following key parameters:
- Performance in the NIRF ranking of the college over the past four years (2020-2023). The focus was to identify the colleges that are showing an improvement trend in the ranking.
- NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) is a ranking methodology adopted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to rank institutions of higher education in India
- NAAC grade received by the college
- The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is a government organization in India that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
- Admission process competitiveness. The selection process used by the college (JEE/state/internal admission test scores)
- Placement performance. The percentage of students placed and average salary offered for the batch of 2022. The year 2022 was considered as several colleges have not yet published the details regarding the placement of 2023.
- Please note that IITs and NITs were not considered for the engineering emerging colleges ranking. For MBA ranking, IIMs while for pharmacy NIPER colleges have not been considered.
- This was done as these institutes are well established having strong brand value and so do not fit in the emerging college’s category
