NEET UG 2026: Supreme Court Rejects Petition Over Six Disputed Questions
The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition challenging the official answer key for six questions in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination held on June 21. The plea was filed by Kerala candidate Gayatri Arun, who alleged that the answers in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology were incorrect and inconsistent with NCERT textbooks.
She requested the Court to order a review by independent subject experts, publish a revised merit list, and protect her admission during the counselling process. However, a Bench of Justices P.S. Narasimha and Alok Aradhe refused to interfere, stating that there was no ground to entertain the petition under Article 32 of the Constitution.
The candidate had earlier approached the Kerala High Court with similar concerns, but her plea was dismissed there as well.
