Bihar D.EL. ED EXAM INTRODUCTION-

The Bihar DELED exam Admission Test is a joint entrance examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) for admission to the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) program in the state of Bihar. The DELEd is a two-year professional teacher education program that prepares candidates to teach at the primary and upper primary levels (classes 1 to 8).

Admit Card

Admit Card will be released one week before the exam. The exam is taking place on April 28 2024

EXAM OVERVIEW

Bihar’s aspiring teachers must pass the Bihar DELEd Admission Test for enrollment in the Diploma in Elementary Education (DELEd) program. This 2.5-hour online exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions across subjects like General Hindi/Urdu, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, General English, and Logical & Analytical Reasoning.  Notably, there is no negative marking. Eligibility Criteria- 

To be eligible for Recruitment 2024, the key factor is the region where a candidate lives.

• Indian national and resident of Bihar.

• The 12th grade examination can be from any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce).
• The marks must be secured in aggregate (overall percentage).
• If you have appeared for the 12th grade examination but the results are not declared yet, you can still apply provisionally. However, you will need to submit your mark sheet within a stipulated time frame after the results are declared.
• Must be at least 17 years old as of July 1, 2023.

• Register by creating an account with your name, email, and phone number.
• Login and fill out the application form with accurate details.
• Upload scanned copies of required documents:
  1. Class 10 & 12 Marksheets
  2. Aadhar Card
  3. Category Certificate (if applicable)
  4. Divyang Certificate (if applicable)
  5. Income Certificate (if applicable)
  6. Photograph and Signature
• Pay the application fee online.
• Submit the application form and take a printout for your records.

Selection Process– 

The selection process for Bihar DElEd admission consists of two stages:

1. Written Entrance Exam:

• Conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).
• Online Computer Based Test (CBT) for 150 minutes (2.30 hours).
• 120 fixed marks with 60 questions.
• Covers General Hindi/Urdu, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, General English, and Logical & Analytical Reasoning.
• Minimum qualifying marks:

1. General/OBC/EBC: 40%

2.SC/ST/PWD: 35%

2. Interview:

• Conducted by the respective colleges/institutes.
• Weightage varies depending on the institute.
• Assesses communication skills, teaching aptitude, and overall personality.
