
The High Court of Gujarat has released the Gujarat High Court Legal Assistant Recruitment 2026 notification for 65 contractual vacancies on the establishment of the High Court. Applications were invited through the HC-OJAS portal from 1 July to 20 July 2026. Gujarat High Court has released the list of candidates who will be appearing for the Legal Assistant exam on 9 August. 964 candidates will be appearing for the exam. Candidates will have to secure at least 50 percent marks in the written exam to be called for viva voce. It is advisable for the candidates to score higher to increase their chances for Legal Assistant Appointment. The notice states that if a large number of candidates qualify, it will restrict the number of candidates.s That restriction is nothing but the marks you score in the written test.

Result Declaration: Gujarat High Court Legal Assistant Recruitment 2026
The marks obtained in each stage of the recruitment process will be made available only after the entire recruitment process is completed. Candidates can view their marks by logging into the HC-OJAS portal using a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their registered mobile number. However, this facility will not be available to candidates who are disqualified at any stage of the recruitment process.

The selection process for the Gujarat High Court Legal Assistant Recruitment 2026 consists of two stages:
- Written Test (Objective Type – MCQs) – 100 Marks
- Viva-Voce (Oral Interview) – 50 Marks
Candidates must qualify the written examination to become eligible for the interview stage.
Stage 1: Written Test
The Written Test is tentatively scheduled to be held on 9 August 2026 (Sunday) at various examination centres in Ahmedabad.

The answer sheets will be evaluated using an OMR Scanning Machine. Therefore, the High Court will not entertain requests for rechecking, reassessment, or re-evaluation of OMR answer sheets.

Minimum Qualifying Marks
Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the Written Test to be considered for the next stage of the Gujarat High Court Legal Assistant Recruitment 2026. If a large number of candidates qualify, the High Court may shortlist candidates for the interview based on merit, limiting the number called for the next stage.

Eligibility Criteria
