Who Can Apply for IIT JAM 2027 Registration?
Candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree or are appearing in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2027 can appear for IIT JAM 2027 Registration. There is no age limit, and candidates can also apply irrespective of the number of previous attempts.
However, qualifying for JAM does not automatically guarantee admission. Candidates must satisfy the programme-specific eligibility requirements of the IIT or other admitting institute where they seek admission.
IIT JAM 2027 Papers
JAM 2027 will be conducted for seven test papers:

- Economics (EN)

- Mathematics (MA)
- Mathematical Statistics (MS)

Candidates can appear for one or two test papers. Those selecting two papers must choose papers scheduled in different sessions.
IIT JAM 2027 Exam Pattern
The examination will be held for three hours and will contain 60 questions carrying 100 marks. The paper includes MCQ, MSQ, and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. MCQs carry negative marking, while MSQ and NAT questions do not have negative marking.
The exam will be conducted in two sessions on February 14:
- Forenoon session: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM — Chemistry, Geology and Mathematics
- Afternoon session: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM — Biotechnology, Economics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics.
