India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 का notification Department of Posts ने जारी कर दिया है। इस recruitment के तहत Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) और Dak Sevak के vacant posts पर eligible candidates का engagement किया जाएगा। Notification 20 August 2026 को जारी किया गया है।

सबसे खास बात यह है कि GDS recruitment के लिए अलग से written exam नहीं है। Candidates की merit Class 10 के marks के आधार पर तैयार की जाएगी। इसलिए 10वीं में अच्छे marks वाले candidates के लिए यह एक अच्छा opportunity है।

Registration और application की last date पर process 5:00 PM तक पूरा करना होगा। Candidates को correction के लिए दो दिन का window भी दिया जाएगा।

GDS Recruitment 2026 Vacancy

India Post ने BPM, ABPM और Dak Sevak posts के लिए applications मांगी हैं। Vacancies अलग-अलग Postal Circles और Divisions में available हैं। Candidates application portal पर जाकर division-wise vacancy और post details check कर सकते हैं। इसलिए application भरने से पहले candidate को अपने preferred division में available vacancy जरूर check करनी चाहिए।

Educational Qualification

GDS post के लिए candidate का Class 10 यानी Secondary School Examination (SSE) pass होना जरूरी है।

इसके अलावा:

  • Class 10 में Mathematics और English में passing marks होने चाहिए।
  • Qualification किसी recognised Board से होनी चाहिए।
  • Candidate ने concerned Postal Circle की local language कम से कम Class 10 तक पढ़ी होनी चाहिए।

Local language state/circle के अनुसार अलग-अलग है। उदाहरण के लिए Karnataka में Kannada, Kerala में Malayalam, Maharashtra में Marathi, Tamil Nadu में Tamil, Telangana में Telugu और Odisha में Odia prescribed हैं। Assam में अलग-अलग areas के लिए Assamese, Bengali और Bodo language provisions हैं।

GDS Age Limit 2026

India Post GDS Recruitment 2026 के लिए minimum age 18 years और maximum age 40 years है। Age की calculation application submission की last date के आधार पर की जाएगी।

GDS Salary 2026

GDS employees को Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) के रूप में payment किया जाता है। TRCA में applicable conditions के अनुसार annual 3% increase भी दिया जाता है। इसके अलावा Dearness Allowance और कुछ social security benefits भी मिलते हैं।

India Post GDS Application Fee

GDS application के लिए ₹100 application fee निर्धारित है।

हालांकि, इन candidates को fee payment से exemption दी गई है:

  • Female candidates
  • SC/ST candidates
  • PwBD candidates
  • Transwomen candidates

Eligible candidates fee का payment Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking या UPI से कर सकते हैं। एक बार paid fee refund नहीं की जाएगी।

GDS Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

GDS selection में सबसे important factor Class 10 marks हैं। Candidates को किसी अलग CBT या written examination में appear नहीं होना है। Department Class 10 marks के आधार पर system-generated merit list तैयार करेगा। Merit में marks को percentage के रूप में चार decimal places तक consider किया जाता है। अगर marksheet में केवल grades या CGPA दिया गया है, तो notification में prescribed conversion formula के अनुसार marks calculate किए जाएंगे।

Selection के बाद क्या होगा?

DS Selection & Document Verification Process

GDS Selection के बाद shortlisted candidates को क्या करना होगा? Department shortlisted candidates की list GDS Online Engagement Portal पर जारी करेगा। Candidates को SMS और email के जरिए भी जानकारी दी जाएगी, लेकिन latest updates के लिए portal regularly check करना जरूरी है।

  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates को shortlisting के बाद 15 दिनों के अंदर designated authority के office में जाकर documents verify कराने होंगे। ऐसा नहीं करने पर candidature cancel हो जाएगी।
  • Required Documents: Candidates को original documents के साथ 2 sets of self-attested photocopies ले जाने होंगे, जिनमें marksheet, ID proof, caste/PwBD/EWS certificate, DOB proof और compulsory medical certificate शामिल हैं।
  • Provisional Engagement: Documents successfully verify होने के बाद candidate को Provisional Engagement Offer दिया जाएगा।
  • Joining Formalities: Offer मिलने के बाद candidate को 30 दिनों के अंदर joining formalities पूरी करनी होंगी। इसमें 3 days basic training और accommodation arrangement आदि शामिल हैं।
  • Final Engagement: Educational, caste/disability certificates और police antecedent verification पूरा होने के बाद final engagement order जारी किया जाएगा।
  • Candidature Cancellation: Document verification में failure, joining formalities पूरी न करने, 30 days में join न करने, required certificate जमा न करने या identity से जुड़ी malpractice पाए जाने पर candidature cancel हो सकती है।
  • Supplementary List: Cancelled candidates की जगह Department supplementary list जारी कर सकता है। GDS engagement process 31 December 2026 के बाद बंद हो जाएगा, हालांकि Department dates को modify या extend कर सकता है।

Merit list में shortlisted candidates को Document Verification (DV) के लिए बुलाया जाएगा।

Candidates को:

  1. Original Class 10 marksheet
  2. Identity Proof
  3. Caste Certificate, if applicable
  4. PwBD Certificate, if applicable
  5. EWS Certificate, if applicable
  6. Date of Birth Proof
  7. Medical Certificate

जैसे documents लेकर designated authority के सामने उपस्थित होना होगा।

Shortlisted candidate को shortlisting की date से 15 days के भीतर document verification के लिए report करना होगा। निर्धारित समय में report नहीं करने पर candidature cancel हो सकती है।

Application process broadly इस तरह है:

GDS Job Profile क्या होगा?

BPM को Branch Post Office के overall functioning और postal operations से जुड़े काम करने होते हैं। ABPM BPM को postal operations में assist करता है और marketing, customer service तथा अन्य assigned duties भी कर सकता है।

Dak Sevak का काम Post Office, Sorting Office, Mail Office और Delivery Centres आदि में हो सकता है। इसमें mail और parcels की handling, delivery, stamps और stationery की sale तथा India Post Payments Bank से जुड़े transactions जैसे काम शामिल हो सकते हैं।
