Qualification for OPTR_CHEM/022026 – Operator (Chemical) Trainee

Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

Option 1: B.Sc. Route

• Educational Requirements:
  • Full-time regular B.Sc. (Chemistry) from UGC/AICTE recognized University/Institution.
  • Physics as one subject in any of the 3 years of B.Sc.
  • National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) certification in Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) [AO(CP)] Trade.
    • Note: NCVT must be completed after B.Sc. Degree.
• Minimum Percentage:

Option 2: Diploma Route

• Sub-Option 2a:
  • Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology from UGC/AICTE recognized University/Institution.
  • 1-year training (BOAT) under Apprentice Act, 1961 (Amendment 1973).
    • Note: Training must be completed after Diploma.
• Sub-Option 2b:
  • HSC (Science) + direct admission to 2nd year/3rd semester of 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology from UGC/AICTE recognized University/Institution.
  • 1-year training (BOAT) under Apprentice Act, 1961 (Amendment 1973).
    • Note: Training must be completed after Diploma.
• Minimum Percentag (applies to both sub-options):

Option 3: Sandwich Diploma Route

Candidates must meet one of the following sub-options:

• Sub-Option 3a:
  • 4 years (8 Semesters) OR 3½ years (7 Semesters) full-time regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology under Sandwich pattern from UGC/AICTE recognized University/Institution.
• Sub-Option 3b:
  • HSC (Science) + direct admission to 2nd year/3rd Semester of 4 years (8 Semesters) OR 3½ years (7 Semesters) full-time regular Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology under Sandwich pattern from UGC/AICTE recognized University/Institution.
• Course Details:
  • Includes 1-year OR 6 months Industrial Training as part of the program.
• Minimum Percentage:
