MDU Maharishi Dayanand Univeristy Rohtak. University offers 159 Programs through 10 faculties comprising 41 University Teaching Departments/Centers/Institutes and a satellite campus at MDU-CPAS, Gurugram. About 263 institutions/Colleges of general education, Engineering, Technology, Computer Science and Management sciences located in seven districts of the states are affiliated with MDU.

The University also offers a distance learning programme through the Centre for Distance and Online Education. Admission is offered two times a year July and January months.

The University has been awarded the following-:

• Awarded Grade A+ by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.44 valid up to March 2024.
• Ranked 94th among the top 100 Indian Universities and 1st among State Universities of Haryana in NIRF 2022 by MHRD, Government of India.
• Granted Green Institutional Mentor Award by MHRD in 2022

The University gives freedom to students to apply for admission to as many programs as the student wants. A separate application form for admission to each additional program shall be required to be filled after paying Rs. 200/- (Rs. 50/- for SC/DSC/BC/Differently Abled candidates for Haryana only) per additional program.

There shall be no weightage of any kind for any Program mentioned in this Prospectus.

The University offers some programmes through entrance tests and some programmes are offered on merit. We are providing you with the courses according to their condition.

The Entrance Examination is meant to assess the candidate’s suitability for the Program to which he/she is seeking admission.

Application Fee

General Rs.1000/- for General Category candidates and

SC/DSC/OBC /BC Rs. 250/- Differently Abled candidates (Haryana only). The SC/DSC/ST/BC/OBC candidates belonging to States other than Haryana will be treated as General Category candidates.

How to Apply

A Candidate must apply online through the website www.mdu.ac.in->Admission->Online Application form.

Candidate must create a login account for the registration process.

Username & Password assigned should be kept confidential and safe. In the Admission Registration Form, details such as address, mobile no., landline no., e-mail address etc. must be entered carefully.

All fields marked with an asterisk (*) marked are mandatory. The University will use the information given by the applicant to contact the applicant for any further communication. If the Mobile no. or e-mail address is incorrect or belongs to someone else, the candidate may not be able to receive any communication from the University. The University in no way shall be responsible for any lapse occurring on account of incorrect information provided by the candidate.

A message containing the login credentials of the candidate shall be sent to the candidate’s mobile or e-mail address confirming the creation of a login account. vi. The candidate should select the appropriate program from the drop-down menu of “Program Groups”. Subsequently within the “Program Groups” the candidate will select the required Program from the drop-down menu of “Program”.

The candidate can apply for additional Programs through the “Add Program” button from the Applying page

Before making payment, the candidate must check & confirm all the details filled in. The candidate is required to select the Program of his/her choice and pay the fee by clicking on “Make Payment” for the opted Program.

The Candidate should ensure that the payment has been made timely and the fee payment status is ‘Paid’ in the application form. Application forms without fee shall not be entertained and would be summarily rejected.

After fee confirmation, Login to your account and click on the “Download Application Form” option on the “Home” page to take a print of the application form and retain it for the record. If the fee is not confirmed within 2 days, please contact the University at feeissue@mdu.ac.in with proof of payment.

Information about fee confirmation, application form etc. will be available on the candidate’s login page itself.

SYLLABI AND PATTERN OF ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

1. The questions in the Entrance Examination for admission to a program will be of the standard that a student, having passed the qualifying examination for admission to that program, is expected to answer.
2. Each Entrance Examination paper will carry 100 questions of one mark each, the duration of which shall be 75 minutes.
3. The Syllabi of various Programs where the Entrance Examination is to be conducted are available on the University website.
4. The Entrance Exam.(s) question papers shall be both in Hindi and English (except in the case of Science and Mathematics subjects where question papers shall be in English only).
