The NIFT 2024 entrance exam consists of multiple-choice questions and a hands-on test, with different sections for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The undergraduate exam, called the General Ability Test (GAT), includes sections on communication ability, English comprehension, quantitative ability, analytical ability, and general knowledge and current affairs. The postgraduate exam, called the Creative Ability Test (CAT), assesses candidates’ skills in material handling and innovative abilities. The syllabus for the entrance exam includes topics such as drawing fundamentals, design theory, principles of composition, colour, pattern, and texture.
Students who have cleared the first stage for admission will now be called for the second stage for Admission in Bachelor Courses.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the Stage-II Examination for the NIFT Bachelor’s of Programmes (Regular, NLEA, Artisans)
