MHT CET 2026 : The application form will open in December this year 2025 or January first week, But before this the commission will release the notification for the exams that will be conducted in the state in the year 2026.

MHT CET is the state-level entrance exam for admission to engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses. It will be organised by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.

Major MHT CET Exams

MHT CET (PCM/PCB): For B.E./B.Tech (Engineering & Technology), B.Pharm/Pharm.D (Pharmacy), B.Sc Agriculture, and allied courses. The exam is conducted for both Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics (PCM) and Physics-Chemistry-Biology (PCB) groups each year.

  • MAH-MBA/MMS-CET: For admission to MBA/MMS courses in Maharashtra state colleges.
  • MAH-MCA-CET: For Master of Computer Applications admissions.
  • MAH-LLB-CET: For 3-year and 5-year Law (LLB) courses.
  • MAH-B.Ed CET: For Bachelor of Education admissions.
  • MH-ANM-GNM CET: For nursing (ANM/GNM) admissions.
  • MAH-B.HMCT/B.P.Ed/B.Ed ELCT CETs: For Hotel Management, Physical Education, and B.Ed (English Language Content Test).
  • MH BSc Nursing CET- a year course in the state of Maharashtra

The official date is not out now but according to the past trend it takes place around April 2026

Exam Dates and Notification

  • The official notification for MHT CET 2026 may come in December 2025 on the official website mahacet.org.
  • Application forms will be available from December 2025 to February 2026.
  • Tentative Exam Dates: PCB (Biology group) is tentatively scheduled for April 9–17, 2026, and for PCM (Maths group) from April 19–27, 2026.
  • Admit cards will be released in the first week before the exam

Eligibility Criteria (Expected)

  • Only Indian Nationals can apply.
  • You have passed or are appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology from a recognized board.
  • Percentage required: Minimum marks required: 45% for General category, 40% for reserved categories.
  • There is no age limit for appearing in the exam.
Who is eligible to apply for the MHT CET 2026?

You are Indian nationals can apply for the MHT CET 2026 and have passed 10+2 in relevant subject with at least 45 % to 50% marks you can apply

Application and Selection Process

  • Applications will be available online only mahacet.org.
  • The exam pattern includes 150 questions for PCM and 200 questions for PCB, with no negative marking.
  • Results are expected by June 2026, followed by centralized counselling (CAP rounds) for admissions.

Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)

  • Must have passed or be appearing for Class 12 (HSC) examination or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, IT, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Technical Vocational subject.
  • Candidates must have scored at least 45% aggregate marks (General/OBC/EWS) or 40% (SC/ST/OBC/SBC/NT from Maharashtra) in the above subjects taken together.
  • Diploma holders in engineering are also eligible for lateral admission into the second year.

Pharmacy (B.Pharm)

  • Though PCB is required for appearing in this exam even the candidates with mathematics subject in 10+2 can also apply.M
  • Minimum required marks: 45% (General) or 40% (SC/ST/OBC/EWS of Maharashtra).

Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy)

  • Must have passed Class 12 (HSC) with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with either Mathematics or Biology.
  • At least 50% marks in aggregate (General category), 45% (reserved categories), or have passed a diploma in pharmacy from a PCI-recognised institution.

General Points for All Courses

  • Applicants must be Indian nationals.
  • No age limit for any course.
  • Final-year/class 12 appearing candidates are also eligible.
  • Candidates must meet the subject combination requirements as specified for each course.

Category-wise Relaxation

  • Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/SBC/NT) candidates from Maharashtra get a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks.

Exam Overview

  • The exam will be online in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
  • Multiple choice Questions (MCQs).
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • The difficulty level is similar to JEE Main for PCM; 20% questions from Class 11 and 80% from Class 12 syllabus.
  • Duration of the exam is 3 hours for each group, divided across respective subjects.
