GCET 2026 (Goa Common Entrance Test) is Goa’s state-level entrance exam for admission to professional courses in engineering, pharmacy, and other disciplines. The application form is generally released in the second week of May 2026, with the last date to apply in the fourth week of May 2026.​

GCET 2026 is scapped candidates will get admission on the basis of National level exam such as JEE Main 2026 engineering, NEET UG for medical and CUET UG 2026 for other courses.
The Directorate of Technical Education, Goa, handles verification and counselling based on these national exam results, not a separate state entrance test.

Steps for Marks Entry and Seat Allotment
- Registration on the Goa DTE Portal:
Candidates will register on the Directorate of Technical Education (Goa DTE) admission portal during the official application window for the desired course.​ - Submission of Scores:
Candidates will enter their application/roll number and scores obtained in the relevant national-level exam (e.g., JEE Main for B.E./B.Tech courses) in the portal.​
Usually, candidates upload their scorecard as documented proof during the application/filling out details.​ - Verification Process:
The DTE (or designated authority) will do the verification for the submitted scores from official sources/databases. You should note that only verified and valid scores are considered for merit and seat allocation.​ - Merit List Publication:
DTE will prepare state-level merit lists for various courses which is on the basis of the eligible national exam scores (e.g., JEE Main rank for engineering).​
The merit list will be out online as a PDF showing candidate details, national exam scores/rank, and their position.​ - Counselling and Choice Filling:
Candidates whose names appear in the merit list can participate in counselling. During counselling, they fill in their preferred course and college choices.​ - Seat Allotment:

- GCET used to be an annual affair for admissions to undergraduate engineering and pharmacy courses in Goa.
- Candidates should retain a hard copy of the application form for future reference.​

NEET Application form opens in the month of March last week of April first week 2026.
