The University Grants Commission has decided that central, state, and private universities shall not require prior approval, recommendation/NOC from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) along with their application to UGC for the offering of Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Post Graduate Diploma programmes under the discipline of Management, computer Application and Travel and Tourism in ODL and Online mode.

But, deemed to be universities shall continue to require prior approval/ recommendation/NOC of AICTE for offering of such programmes in ODL and/ or Online mode, before submitting their application to the UGC. The list of programmes under the domain of AICTE mentioned in provision 2(z) of UGC (ODL Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulation, 2020, shall remain prohibited, until the receipt of approval/recommendation/NOC from AICTE for the consideration of the commission

UGC has issued the public notice F.No. 1-1/2024 vide 23rd January, 2024 regarding approval/recommendation from AICTE for offering UG Programmes in Management and Computer Application under ODL mode and / or Online mode from academic year 2024-25, academic session July August, 2024 shall l be valid for deemed to be university
