Ignou Certificate Language courses. The School of Foreign Languages at IGNOU offers a range of language courses for students interested in learning a new language or improving their existing language skills. The courses offered include Certificate courses in Spanish, Korean, Russian, French, German, and Persian, among others. The School of Foreign Languages is one of the 21 Schools of Studies at IGNOU, established in 2007. The courses offered through the School of Foreign Languages are available through distance learning, regular on-campus classes, or online.

The admission and eligibility criteria for language courses offered by IGNOU vary depending on the specific course. For example, to enrol in the Certificate in the Persian Language course, candidates must have completed 10+2 or be 18 years of age. On the other hand, to enrol in the Language Diploma course in German, candidates must possess an undergraduate degree or have studied German previously. Certificate in Persian Language

Adults who have successfully completed 10+2 or 18 years of age.

This programme aims at acquainting the beginners with essential rudiments of the Persian Language, and gradually and systematically inculcates in them an ability to speak, write and read the language with a certain degree of accuracy and confidence.

This programme is meant for Urdu and Hindi speakers who want to learn how to read , write and correctly speak Urdu .The focus is on all the four skills :Listening, Speaking Reading and Writing.
 

The aim is to improve accuracy and promote fluency in the students . There will be a CD will be included in  the course material to help the student with listening comprehension, speaking skills, using cultural vocabulary and pronunciation. Each course has eight (8) credits.

M.A. French

Minimum Duration: 2 Years
Maximum Duration: 4 Years

Eligibility:

Candidates seeking admission to the M.A. French programme should fulfil  ONE of the following categories :

A)    Three (03) Years Bachelors Programme (Undergraduate Degree) in French (French Hons) from any recognized Indian or Foreign University.

OR

B)    Any Undergraduate Degree from a recognized Indian or Foreign University with Four (04) semesters (02 years) of French as major subject at Undergraduate Level + Diploma in French (B1 level) from a recognized Indian/Foreign University or Certified Institution.

OR

C)    Any Undergraduate Degree from a recognized Indian or Foreign University with Three (03) years UGC prescribed Advanced Diploma in French (Level B2) from a recognized Indian/Foreign University or Certified Institution as per university regulations.

Fee Structure: Fees for the full period to be paid is Rs.12,500/- with year-wise fee of Rs.6,225/- each. In the first year it is Rs. 6225/- which includes Registration Fee as per University regulations.

Lateral Entry Permitted

The program has been developed in response to the high learner demand wishing to complete an M.A. degree in one of the most opted for foreign languages in India. It is designed as a modern learner friendly Masters program in the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Mode (to be subsequently offered in Online Mode too)
