Age Relaxation and Reservation Guidelines
Upper Age Relaxation
The following relaxations in the upper age limit are applicable, subject to reservation of the post:

Reservation, Relaxation and Concessions
Reservation, age relaxation, and other concessions for reserved categories shall be subject to the submission of valid supporting documents as detailed below.

CLAT PG 2027 Law Officer Recruitment Additional Instructions
- If a caste or category certificate is issued in a language other than Hindi or English, candidates must produce a certified translation in either Hindi or English during document verification, if called for.
- POWERGRID departmental candidates may avail relaxation and concessions as per the applicable Internal Circular.
- Trainees, Apprentices, and Interns working in POWERGRID shall not be treated as departmental candidates and are therefore not eligible for departmental relaxation or concessions.
Selection Process – Recruitment of Officer Trainee (Law)–2026
The selection process for the post of Officer Trainee (Law) consists of the following stages:
- CLAT–2026 (Postgraduate Programme)

Candidates shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview will also undergo a Behavioural Assessment, the results of which will be used as an input during the interview process.

Empanelment of Candidates
- Candidates must qualify separately in both CLAT–2026 and the Personal Interview.

Offer of Appointment
Appointment offers will be issued to candidates in the order of category-wise merit, subject to vacancy availability.
The appointment will be provisional until the candidate is declared medically fit in the Pre-Employment Medical Examination conducted as per POWERGRID’s Medical Fitness Standards.
