PG Diploma in Cyber Law is post graduation course, Cyber law is referred to the Indian Penal Code as well as the Indian Technology Act of 2000. Thus, some of the issues that form a part of Cyber Law are – Hacking, DOS attacks, Virus/Worm attacks, Cyber terrorism, Credit card frauds, IPR violations, EFT frauds, Trafficking, Stalking, and Harassment,

A Cyber Forensics Lab is being established on the premises of National Law University (NLU) Delhi for facilitating this course. Other law schools/ universities like the National Law School of India University (Bangalore), Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (Patiala) etc., will also be involved in the Programme in future.

During the times of the pandemic, there had been an increase of nearly 60% in Cyber cases between 2018 and 2019.
He elaborated that one of the positive fallouts of COVID-19 was an increase in the use of Digital Technology; he said that this, however, had led to a rise in the number of cybercrime cases and highlighted the following challenges:

Qualification

Graduation or above in Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications/Software development/ Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Some colleges require a Graduation degree with 50 Per cent marks
