NEET PG 2026: NBEMS Forms 3-Member Panel to Probe Power Failure at Jaipur Exam Centres
Jaipur, Rajasthan: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has constituted a three-member committee to investigate the internal power supply failure that disrupted the NEET PG 2026 examination at two iON Digital Zone centres in Sitapura, Jaipur. Earlier in the AIAPGET 2026 exam, the same electricity issue emerged for the exam conducted by NTA.
The power disruption prevented candidates at the affected centres from completing the examination, causing inconvenience to thousands of medical aspirants. The committee will investigate the circumstances surrounding the power failure and determine the reasons behind the disruption.
The three-member panel includes a senior Rajasthan government official, a Joint Secretary-level officer from the Union Health Ministry and a senior engineering official from the Central Electricity Authority.
The development follows NBEMS’s decision to conduct a fresh examination for 2,445 affected candidates from the two Jaipur centres. The re-examination will be held on September 5, 2026, at 3 PM in Jaipur.
NBEMS has expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to the candidates and stated that the re-examination is being conducted to ensure that all affected candidates get a fair and equitable opportunity to appear for the NEET PG 2026 examination.
