Jaipur, Rajasthan: NEET-PG 2026 candidates staged a protest at an examination centre in Sitapura, Jaipur, alleging repeated technical problems and disruptions during the exam.
One of the candidates, Vishnu Sharma, said the computer system at the centre repeatedly shut down even before the examination could begin properly. According to him, the system would function for only a few minutes before crashing, with the issue occurring nearly 20 times.
He said the candidates initially continued cooperating with the authorities, hoping the technical problem would be resolved. However, the repeated disruptions created confusion and forced students to interact with one another while waiting for the systems to become operational.
Expressing frustration over the arrangements, Sharma questioned whether adequate facilities had been provided for an examination of such national importance. He also pointed out that candidates are doctors who are expected to provide quality healthcare, yet they themselves were facing difficulties due to inadequate examination infrastructure.
The candidate further alleged that no one at the centre was taking responsibility for the technical failures. He said the issue should not be treated as an isolated problem affecting only one examination centre.
The protesting candidates demanded that the NEET-PG 2026 examination be cancelled and conducted afresh across the country, rather than merely arranging a re-examination for candidates at the affected centre. They maintained that a nationwide re-conduct of the examination was necessary to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates.
