RIMC Admission Process and Academic Terms
The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) conducts its academic session in two terms every year. The Spring Term runs from 17 January to 31 May, while the Autumn Term is held from 17 July to 30 November. The periods between these terms are observed as vacations.
Admissions to RIMC are conducted twice a year through a state-wise/zone-wise merit system. The tentative intake for each term is 25 boy cadets and 10 girl cadets, although the actual number of vacancies is decided by the competent authority and notified before or at the beginning of the admission process.
RIMC Selection Process
Admission is based purely on merit and involves the following stages:
- All-India Written Examination – Candidates first appear for the RIMCEE 2027 entrance examination.
- Interview – Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the written examination are called for an interview.
- Medical Examination – Candidates who qualify in the interview and secure a position in the merit list undergo a medical examination.
- Final Selection – Admission is offered to candidates who meet the required merit and medical fitness criteria.
