TS DEECET 2024: Apply For D.El.Ed. and D.P.S.E Courses,

The Candidates can apply for D. El. Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) and D.P.S.E. (Diploma in Pre-School Education) through DEECET-2024 through computer-based test (online mode) for admission into two year course in Govt. DIETs / Private unaided Elementary Teacher Education Institutions (including Minority and Non-Minority).

The TS DEECET 2024 has a well-defined timeline for important dates and the application process. The online application forms are expected to be available from the 4th week of April 2024 to the 4th week of May 2024. The Exam itself tentatively schedule for the 2^nd week of July, 2024. Exact date will be notified in this page after releasing examination dates on official website i.e.  http://deecet.cdse.telangana.gov.in.

TS DEECET 2024 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• As per the guidelines, candidates should be Indian citizens and local residents of Telangana State.
• The candidate should have passed or appeared for the intermediate examination or its equivalent as decided by the TS DEECET Community for appearing at the TS DEECET 2024. However, she or he should have passed the qualifying examination at the time of the examination.
• candidate should have 50 % of marks in aggregates in the qualifying examination for appearing at the TS DEECET 2024
• The minimum % of marks for SC / ST / PH candidates should be 45%

TS DEECET 2024 AGE CRITERIA:

• The Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 1st September of the year of admission.
• There shall be no upper age limit for admission into D. El. Ed /D.P.S.E. Programme.

RULES FOR SEAT RESERVATION

• Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved for the local candidate.
• The remaining 15% of the seats shall be unreserved as specified in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as amended from time to time. The definition of ‘Local Candidate’ is as given below.

TEST CENTERS OF TS DEECET 2024:

The Telangana State Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (TS DEECET) 2024 shall be conducted ‘ONLINE’ in the 10 erstwhile districts on the dates to be notified shortly. Candidates may give the preferential order of the centers. However, allotment of centers shall be the discretion of the department and request for change of test centers or sessions is not allowed under any circumstances.

RESUTL OF TS DEECET 2024

The Authority will be declared result after successfully completing exam. Tentatively authority will release result 25 to 30 days after TS DEECET 2024 Exam. The marks along with rank of the candidates will be hosted medium wise on the website: i.e.  http://deecet.cdse.telangana.gov.in.  The Date Of releasing result notified later in this page.

Selection Method for TS DEECET 2024

• Admission Method

The admission into all government DIETs and Category A seats of the Private Unaided Elementary Teacher Training Institutions shall be made through a single Window system in order of merit list basis of rank assigned in TS DEECET 2024 Entrance test and to the extent of sanctioned seats through Web Based Admission service provided by the Convener TS DEECET 2024

• Admit Card

Candidates should download TS DEECET 2024 Admit card though the official website http://deecet.cdse.telangana.gov.in 4 days before the exam. Admit card will contain candidates name, roll number, photograph, signature of the candidate, address of the examination centre and test schedule. Candidates are advised to keep their admit card in good condition for future reference.

• Language of Question Paper

The question booklet will be set and supplied in English Medium, the part 2 (B) of the question paper shall be either telagu or urdu as chosen by the candidate in the online application form. The question paper medium shall be same as the medium of DElEd opted for and for D.P.S.E Course only english medium optied students are eligible

• Passing criteria

Minimum passing marks for TS DEECET 2024

1. 50% minimum pass marks for OC, BC, EWS category candidates for 50 marks out of 100
2. 45% minimum pass marks for reserved category (SC/ST/PHC) candidates 45 marks out of 100
3. 50% for SC/ST against OC, NCC, CAP, Sports persons (state and national level only) 50 marks out of 100

2. Merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in TS DEECET 2024 Exam

Counselling

There shall be no personal interview for selection of candidates however, counselling shall be held for ascertaining the credentials and sponsoring the candidates to different DIETs and privately institutions.

Counselling session shall be conducted by the Telangana State, Council of Higher Education for the allocating seats to the candidates based on his/her preferences and position in the merit list prepared based on entrance test ( TS DEECET) 2024. The date, time and venue of counselling shall be decided by the TS DEECET 2024 on its official website http://deecet.cdse.telangana.gov.in. No separate communication or letter for any round of counselling will be sent to any candidate.
