AFCAT 2024: AFCAT released the admit card for AFCAT (AIR Force Common Admission Test) on 30^th January 2024. Those candidates who applied for the exam can download their admit card now from the official website of AFCAT 2024 afcat.cdac.in. The exam will be held on 16 to 18 Feb 2024

AFCAT Exam 2024

The exam AFCAT 2024 exam will be held on 16, 17, and 18 February 2024. The exam pattern consists of four sections: General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. It is important to note that the language of the exam is English, and there is a negative marking of one mark for every incorrect answer. Therefore, candidates must familiarize themselves with the syllabus and exam pattern to strategize their preparation effectively.

Creating a study plan and sticking to it religiously is crucial for cracking all the phases of the AFCAT 2024 Exam. A concrete study plan should include allocating sufficient time for each subject and topic, revising and practicing regularly, and taking breaks to avoid burnout. Candidates should prepare notes for all the topics to revise all the formulae and concepts before appearing for the exam. Moreover, they should also incorporate time for physical exercise and mental relaxation techniques to maintain a healthy balance.

Details of the AFCAT 2024 Exam are as follows:

The Marking Scheme is as follows: –

(a) Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer.

(b) One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

(c) No marks for unattempt questions. (d) Before the declaration of the result, marks scored by candidates will be normalized. AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST (AFCAT):

The AFCAT 2024 Question Paper will have 100 questions.

Duration- 2 Hours.

Each Question Paper will have questions from the following topics: –

English. Comprehension, Detecting Errors in Sentences, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct words, Synonym/ Antonym, Cloze Test or Fill in the Gaps in a paragraph, Idioms and Phrases, Analogy, Sentence Rearranging, Substitution in a Sentence/ One Word Substitution.

General Awareness. History, Geography, Sports, National and International Organizations, Art and culture, Personalities, Environment and ecology, Indian Polity, Economy, Basic Science Knowledge, Science and Technology, Current Affairs (National and international), Defence

Numerical Ability. Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average/ Percentage, Profit and loss, Ratio and proportion, Simple and Compound Interest, Time and distance and Races (Trains/ Boats and streams), Area and Perimeter, Probability, Number System and Number Series, Mixture & Allegation Rules, Clocks.

Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning

The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University). · Exam will be in English only.

English – Cloze test, fill in the blanks, spotting the errors, one-word substitution, synonyms and antonyms

These are the recurring topics, try to practice them as much as you can.

Use an elimination method to solve this question.

For Mathematics – Ratio, Percentage, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Profit & Loss. These are the recurring topics in mathematics.

Some questions are very easy and can be solved by using the digit sum method.

Try to get a good command of these topics.

Reasoning and Military Aptitude – Series Completion, embedded figure, blood relation, mirror and water images, completion of pattern, venn diagram, analogy & classification.

This section consists of 35 questions; hence this is the most scoring section.

Try to practice more and more on given topics by solving pics.

GS- Awards, books and authors, sports news, basic knowledge of science.
