ignou four years programme launched by UGC chairman-The University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar launched the four-year undergraduate programme (FYUP) of the Indira Gandhi National University (IGNOU on 11 February 2024).
In a social media post, the Chairman of the UGC expressed the belief that the FYUP is a crucial reform in Indian higher education. Furthermore, the Chairman highlighted the availability of IGNOU’s FYUP to students nationwide, emphasizing the multitude of opportunities it offers. The Chairman also noted that many of IGNOU’s courses can be accessed through SWAYAM, providing students with the option to incorporate these courses into their regular program or pursue a simultaneous undergraduate degree in a different field of study.
