BHU Under Graduate Courses

BHU Under Graduate courses. BHU is a central, and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, As per the latest NIRF Ranking 2023, the university ranked 5th among the top universities in India. BHU has now adopted the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to UG and PG Courses. Admissions to UG courses will be done through CUET UG conducted by NTA.

ICAR Seats: 15% supernumerary seats shall be available for admission for Candidates  nominated by the ICAR on the basis of a Combined Admission Test conducted by the ICAR for B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. admissions.

Sports Seats: Supernumerary Seats in various Faculties/Institute shall be available under the sports category

BHU is the only university that offers admission from the nursery, and primary school up to PhD level.

BHU is the only university that has an IIT on its campus named IIT BHU There are three schools and one Kendriya Vidyalaya

Courses and their eligibility

1. A. (Hons.) Arts:

Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

1. A. (Hons.): Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Kannada#, Marathi, Persian, Pali, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Nepali, English, Japanese, Chinese, German, French, Russian, Ancient Indian History Culture & Archaeology, History of Art, Philosophy, Linguistics, Geography, Mathematics, Statistics, Tourism and Travel Management#, Economics*. Note: *Only such students who have offered Economics, Mathematics and Statistics as a subject combination in I to IV semesters will be allowed for B.A. (Hons.) in Economics. For such students, 10 seats will be available at the Economic Honours level.

B.A Hons Social Science

Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.

Candidates are required to opt for: Section I A – Language Test – (Hindi or English) and Section III – General Test for admission to BHU

Social Science Faculty-B. A. (Hons.): Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Mathematics, Statistics, Geography.

B.A Hons Economics

For B.A. Hons. (Economics): The student must have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at High School Examinations.

B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts)

Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

B.A LLB (Hons)

Candidates have completed/ is appearing in Senior Secondary School (10+2) or equivalent (Such as 11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) examination from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course. However, the applicant who has obtained 10+2 or Graduation/Post-graduation through an open Universities System directly without having any basic qualification for pursuing such studies shall not be eligible for admission to a 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Course. Minimum marks in qualifying examination for admission not below 50% of total marks in case of General category applicants, 45% in case of OBCs and 40% in case of SCs & STs applicants.

B.com (Hons)/ B.com Hons Financial Market Management

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Commerce / Economics / Maths / Computer Science / Finance / Financial Markets Management / Vocational Courses (related to commerce) as one of the subjects securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and must have passed in the concerned subject.

B.Sc. (Ag)/B.Sc.(Ag)

A candidate shall be eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag, if he/she has passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Agriculture or in Science (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology) OR equivalent examination recognized by the University, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate

B.Sc.Hons

Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, and Psychology.

1. BSc. (Hons.) Maths Group

Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in the subjects Physics, Maths plus any one of the following: Chemistry, Statistics, Geology, Computer Science, Information Technology and Geography and must have passed in each of the concerned three subjects (as supported by the Certificat issued by the Examining body).

Candidates are required to opt for 1. Physics; 2. Chemistry; 3. Maths for admission in BHU.

1. BSc. (Hons.) Bio. Group

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in the subjects Physics, Chemistry plus any one of the following: Biology, Geology and Geography and must have passed in each of the concerned three subjects (as supported by the Certificate issued by the Examining body).

Note-Candidates are required to opt for Section II: 1. Physics; 2. Chemistry; 3. Biology for admission in BHU.

B.Tech in Food Technology Seats 30

Passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) OR Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) with English from a Board/University recognized by the Institute/Board with at least 50% marks or equivalent G.P.A. in aggregate.

B.Tech. in Dairy Technology Seats-30

Passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) OR Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology (PCMB) with English from a Board/University recognized by the Institute/Board with at least 50% marks or equivalent G.P.A. in aggregate.

 

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry

B.P.Ed. (Bachelor of Physical Education)

(a) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in Sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India

or

(b) Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with 45% marks

Or

(c) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied Physical Education as a compulsory/elective subject

Or

(d) Bachelor’s Degree with 45% marks and having participated in National or State Inter-University competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in Sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India

Or

 

(e) Bachelor’s Degree with participation in International competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in National/Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/ AIU/ IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India or (f) Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates, i.e., trained physical education, teachers/coaches)

B.P.A: Instrumental Sitar, Flute, Violin, Tabla, Kathak, Dance-Bharat Natyam, North Indian Classical Vocal

Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam Or Graduate / PG Degree and Vocal Music (Hindustani. Dhupad) / Instrumental Music (Sitar / Violin / Flute / Tabla&Mridangam) / Dance (Kathak / Bharatnatyam) as one of the subjects in any of the above courses and the candidate must pass in this subject also

OR Passed Three Year Diploma in Vocal Music (Hindustani) / Instrumental Music (Sitar / Violin / Flute / Tabla & Mridangam) / Dance (Kathak / Bharatnatyam) of BHU or equivalent exam.

OR

Passed any of the exams for Vocal / Instrumental / Dance – Senior Diploma Exam of the PrayagSangeetSamity, Allahabad / Madhyama Exam of the Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow / Madhyama in Music Exam. Of Madhya Pradesh Govt., M.P / Madhyama Exam of ABGMV Mandal, Mumbai / Madhyama Exam of Indira Kala SangeetVishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, Bhushan of Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. For Dance Only – Passed Part Time Diploma Exam of Five Years of Kalashetra, Chennai / Senior Course issued under the auspices of Tamil Nadu Govt. / Five-Year Diploma of BhartiyaNrityaMandir, Patna, Bhushan of Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh / Examination of 6 Years Sangeet Kala Vid (Diploma) of Raja Man Singh Tomar University, Gwalior / Examination of 3 Years Diploma (Pass) of Kathak Kendra, National Institute of Kathak Dance, New Delhi.

AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2023 (applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2000).

Shastri Hons

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:(a) Passed MADHYAMA Examination of BHU/Madhyama/Uttar Madhyama/Upa Shastri/Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum 50% marks in the aggregate and(b) Sanskrit must be one of the subjects in the concerned examination and candidate should have passed in this subject also. The candidates having passed a one-year certificate course in Sanskrit of BHU after passing the 10+2 examination with 50% marks in aggregate both in the 10+2 examination and certificate examination are also eligible.

Note-Candidates are required to opt for Section II (Sanskrit) for admission in BHU

Bachelor of Vocation in Retail & Logistics Management

Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

Bachelor of Vocation in Hospital Administration and Management

: Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Science or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, the eligibility will be as per the University rules. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

Bachelor of Vocation in Agribusiness & Entrepreneurship

Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Science or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, the eligibility will be as per the University rules. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

Bachelor of Vocation in Computer Applications

Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Science securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in the subjects Physics, Maths plus any one of the following: Chemistry, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology and must have passed in each of the concerned three subjects (as supported by the Certificate issued by the Examining body) or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, the eligibility will be as per the University rules. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

Bachelor of Vocation in Hospitality & Tourism Management

Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. Bachelor of Vocation (Fashion Designing & Event Management

Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

Bachelor of Vocation (Modern Office Management) 

Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

Bachelor of Vocation in Banking, Insurance and Retailing

Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, the eligibility will be as per the University rules. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

Bachelor of Vocation in Catering Technology and Hotel Management

Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in any stream or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, the eligibility will be as per the University rules. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

Bachelor of Vocation in Food Processing & Management 

Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Science or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, the eligibility will be as per the University rules. AGE: Not to be more than 22 years

Bachelor of Vocation in Medical Lab. Technology

Passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in Science or level 4 NSQF certificate or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.
